The Place Located at Duxton Road, I checked out the reopened and revamped Kilo Singapore which is part of Kilo Collective. It is a gorgeous space segmented into different zones – a wine retail corner at its entrance, large communal table, cosier zones for couples, a bar counter, alfresco seats along the walkway and a display of fresh seafood produce at the kitchen. I like the spaciousness of Kilo Singapore, and raw touches in its interior like the walls and cemented floor. Rustic, yet contemporary. The food The menu at Kilo is inspired by Latin America’s culture, and my meal started with the Japanese Oysters (S$18), which you can opt to go with two shooters of Bloody Mary (S$5). The oysters spot a creamy flavour, very fresh! Next up was the Kilo Seafood Ceviche (S$34) where sliced fresh tuna loin, seabass and red prawn are tossed together with cured tomatoes and topped with fresh coriander. It is a refreshing combination of ingredients where the fresh seafood flavours come out strong. The next light bite is one of my favourites for the meal, the Classic Steak Tartare On Confit Potato (S$22). The steak tartare is made with Australian wagyu cube roll with a marbling of 4 to 5, and mixed with a dressing of dijon mustard, wholegrain mustard, extra virgin olive oil and Mexican tabasco. [...]
