Food Review: Nan Xiang Chicken Rice At Tanjong Katong Road | Delicious Old School Chicken Rice & Roast Meats

The Place Located in a coffeeshop in Tanjong Katong Road, I checked out Nan Xiang Chicken Rice recently on a weekend morning. The stall has been around for many years and it continues to draw regular patrons as the coffeeshop is fully packed most of the time, with most patrons having their chicken rice as I noticed. There is a public carpark right behind the coffeeshop which is a relief for drivers, though a word of caution is that it might be challenging to get a table as the coffeeshop is relatively small.   The Food Perhaps the most interesting part of the stall front is the delicious looking roast pork and duck. Other than chicken rice, Nan Xiang also specialises in traditional charcoal roasted “char siew” aka barbecued pork, “sio bak” aka roast pork, roast chicken and roast duck.  As it was my first time, I decided to go for the steamed chicken rice, along with addition of the “sio bak” and ‘char siew’, all for S$8.80.
