Food Review: Stamping Ground Coffee at Upper East Coast Road | Possibly the Best New Cafe in the East

The Place Stamping Ground Coffee used to be located at Club Street, but has relocated to Upper East Coast Road few weeks ago. The first thing we noticed about the new space are the communal tables, set against Instagram-worthy backgrounds. The wooden and neat furnishings of the café exudes a cosy vibe, which made us feel at home instantly. If you fancy some barista action, there are a few seats at the counter. The Food We learnt that the team here supplies their cold brew to other cafes such as Gemmills, though we didn’t get to try it here this time round. The usual coffee offerings uses beans from Papa Palheta. As for the brunchy items, you can expect mainly toasts and sandwiches. Coffee aside, we spotted Hot Chocolate on the menu which uses Mork Chocolate from Melbourne. We had the Latte (S$5) and Flat White (S$5). The Bacon Jam (S$13.50) with baked eggs and mozzarella on brioche toast was an unexpected surprise. Think crispy bacon and toast coupled with yummy eggs, I was satisfied.
