The Place Located along Tras Street is Chef Jason Tan’s Restaurant Euphoria which opened late last year. Chef Jason Tan was previously the head chef at the One-Michelin starred Corner House before he became chef-owner of Restaurant Euphoria. While the entrance of the restaurant looks unassuming, I was immediately transported to the gorgeous Botanical realm once I stepped in. Earthy tones, minimalist touches, and a sense of lushness are some of my impressions of the space. I feel at ease. Though a relatively new restaurant, Restaurant Euphoria made it into Number 41 spot of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2021. The Food Gastro-Botanica is the ethos of Chef Jason, also a term coined by the chef. With Restaurant Euphoria, Chef Jason introduces Gastro-Botanica 2.0, the elevated version of his original cuisine that showcases carefully sourced and prepared premium vegetables, meats and seafood, with a focus on botanical elements of vegetables, tubers, herbs, spices, and fruits. I had the 4-course Joy Of Euphoria (S$128++) Menu which started with the Mochishire A La Truffle Noire Bread course. I love the bread, very aromatic, soft, and dangerously easy to pop. Next up is the Amuse Bouche – a beautiful duo combination of Feuille de brick, Tobiko, Avocado and Kaffir; and the Lime Gorgonzola, Black truffle and Honey.
