The Place It is rare to find grilled concepts in heartland districts and Homeground Grill & Bar is one good addition. Located along Serangoon Road right beside 126 Dim Sum, the space at Homeground Grill is casual and it is approximately seven minutes walk from Boon Keng MRT Station. The restaurant is run by a group of female friends, who wants to create a casual spot for heartlanders to chill over food, and drinks in the evening. The Food The menu is concise and split into four mains sections – Lights Bites, Sharing, Mains, Bar Grub. As I wasn’t too hungry, I only managed to try three dishes. I started with the Grilled Portobello Mushroom (S$7) with garlic butter, a must have for shrooms lover. This is topped with melted cheese, which makes the mushroom all the more delicious. For mains, there is a good variety of meat options. I had the Charcoal Grilled Salmon (S$18), grilled to a nice pink hue.
