The Place Located at Serangoon Garden, Hanwoori Korean Restaurant is opened by a cheery Korean lady whom will greet you with her high spirits while taking your orders. The space is rather basic, no-frills setting but this should not deter you from visiting Hanwoori. The Food Been visiting Hanwoori for a while now, though have not gotten down to write a review of it. Perhaps I have underestimated how this neighbourhood Korean restaurant is truly a gem, with it becoming more popular in recent years with younger crowds now forming queues during peak dining hours. Every main course comes with 10 complimentary banchan (side dishes) that are refillable with no additional charge. As with most of my Korean meals, an order of Sundubu (S$15) is a must. Hanwoori’s rendition is rather balanced and not too spicy for the average. Love a good Ttukbaegi Bulgogi (S$18), also known as Beef Bulgogi Hot Pot. The salty beef broth with the well-soaked glass noodles and lean beef slices goes really well with a bowl of Korean rice.
