The Place Located in Joo Chiat Road, Da Dong Prawn Noodles is one of the most popular prawn mee stalls in Singapore, and arguably one of the best around. It is located in a small coffeeshop within close proximity to another popular prata stall in the east, Mr and Mrs Mohgan’s Super Crispy Roti Prata. Da Dong is currently run by the second generation, and dishes out as early as 7.30am. The Food The prawn noodles start from S$8 for regular portion for either the Prawn Noodles or Pork Rib Prawn Noodles, moving on to the most expensive on the menu which is the Big Prawn Noodles (S$13 or S$15). I went for the dry Prawn Noodles (S$8) and Pork Rib Prawn Noodles (S$8) soup, as it is always good to draw a comparison between the dry and soup versions. My first taste is always the soup, and this soup is packed with so much umami, I like it.
