The Place Located at one of the mature estates in city fringe, 545 Whampoa Prawn Noodle is a popular hawker stall located in Blk 91 at Whampoa Market. There is another 545 Whampoa Prawn Noodle stall located at Tekka Centre, which is managed by third generation and owner Li Ruifang. Back to the Whampoa stall which is managed by the second generation, the perpetual long queue especially on Saturdays mean that you have to budget a considerable waiting time. I waited 45 minutes in the queue on a Saturday morning. The Food Like most prawn noodle stalls, choose from dry or soup version here and prices start from S$4. If you love other types of noodles like Kway Teow or Bee Hoon, do come earlier as both types were sold out before 11am during my visit. If it is your first time, I would suggest trying both the dry and soup versions to make the queue worthwhile. Share it with someone else if possible.
