Food Review: Dolce Vita at The Mandarin Oriental Singapore | Revamped look with the good old Italian cuisine

The Place Located right beside the swimming pool at The Mandarin Oriental Singapore, Dolce Vita is the hotel’s Italian dining concept which had a massive revamp few months ago. The new look of the Italian restaurant is casual chic, with nice natural lighting in the day, wooden chairs decked in turquoise blue hues and a splendid view of the pool and Singapore’s skyline. It is my first time to Dolce Vita, even though I have checked out Melt Cafe (read our full review here) several times, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant with one of the best Indian buffet spread in Singapore. The Food We tried some of the signatures of Chef Marco Manocchio, starting with the Vitello Tonnato (S$32), veal loin with tonnata sauce and pickled vegetable. This dish is very popular in Northern Italy (think Milan and northwards) as well as parts of Germany. The veal meat is typically sliced very thinly, topped with a creamy layer of tuna. Next up was a pasta dish we had, the homemade Tortelli (S$36) with seared langoustine caciucco, burrata flakes and marjoram. The al dente Tortelli was amazing.
