The Place Located in Thye Hong Industrial Centre along Leng Kee Road, Fu Hui Gen Tang is a pretty interesting new concept to me. Founded in 1984 in Taiwan with six outlets across Taiwan, Fu Hui Gen Tang is the purveyor of traditional Chinese herbal super soup, the interior of the restaurant is spacious with two main dining halls, including tatami-style tables and two private rooms. The restaurant also enhances the wellness experience with a dedicated space for customers to rest and rejuvenate between courses. And yes, that includes a room with massage chairs which I managed to use after my meal. A brief history of the brand is that it was co-founded by Professor Wu, a renowned traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, who discovered and spent years researching on Fu Hui Gen, a prescription of 50 Chinese medicinal herbs from the three divine physicians of the late Eastern Han Dynasty (Hua Tuo, Dong Feng, and Zhang Zhongjing). This prescription was originally designed to maintain the health of emperors, imperial concubines, and healthy individuals.
