The Place It seems like hawker theme buffet is the trend this year, including Flavours at Zhongshan Park which has launched its ‘Hawkerlicious’ lunch and dinner buffets with a strong focus on our local cuisine. Flavours at Zhongshan Park is located within Ramada Singapore in the Balastier precinct, which spots a contemporary interior for dining. The Food The main highlight at the ‘Hawkerlicious’ buffet for me is the semi-buffet ‘zichar’, where you get to pick your choice of seafood such as prawns, clams, mud crabs and snapper fish and have the chef cook it the way you want. You can then choose from the chef’s signature sauces such as Black Pepper, Salted Egg Yolk, Assam Curry Sauce and Ginger and Onion Sauce to go along with the seafood. My favourite picks are the Salted Egg Yolk and Black Pepper sauces, which both go well with the crab. The buffet area is not that big as compared to other hotel buffets, so don’t come expecting a huge spread.
