As part of the Weekender Foodmania Awards 2016, this is the first of our three-part series on restaurants nominated in each of the categories of this year’s awards – American, Italian and Steak. Kicking this series off is the American food category, which saw Oasis (at Grand Hyatt Singapore), Brewerkz and Morganfield’s coming up top with public voting. Here’s what we got to say of the 3 restaurants. ****** The Place Next to the swimming pool at the Grand Hyatt Singapore, the al fresco American Grill restaurant here grills their meats in the open concept kitchen and serve up a good selection of the grills in their dinner set. Oasis, aptly named, probably has one of the best dining environment Orchard Road can afford. Tucked at the corner of the hotel, off the busy bustling shopping belts, you get to sip your wine, eat your meats, while enjoy the music of water flowing. Just make very sure you wear something light while visiting Oasis, the Singapore’s weather can be punishing at times, and you wouldn’t want to break into a sweat while taking some time off your busy schedule chilling here.
