The Place By an ex-chef behind Jumbo’s Teochew restaurant Chui Huay Lim, I visited the restaurant previously and decided to return with a group of friends to try more dishes again. San Shu Gong Private Dining is located along the busy stretch of Geylang Road, just across the road from Kallang MRT station. With just a handful of tables, each aptly named under a family member such as 二嫂 (aka Second Aunt), you are invited into 三叔公 (aka Third Uncle) house for a feast of home-styled Teochew fare. Simple décor, keeping things clean and for diners to focus on the food instead. Make very sure you reserve early for a table here as they been quite popular. Definitely not a place for walk-ins. The Food Love the food at the various Teochew restaurants in Singapore, including Chiu Huay Lim, Zui Yu Xuan, and Paradise Teochew, which we have been to previously. Of course, we must have the Braised Goose, Teochew Style (S$26) considering how much I love braised dishes.
