The Place Located at Tanjong Pagar, Syohachi Yakiniku is a new Japanese Yakiniku restaurant from Hong Kong. Focusing on buffet sets, the restaurant has tiered pricing for its premium 2-hours Japanese A5 Wagyu Buffet starting from S$70++ per pax for the early birds, to S$80++ during peak dinner hours between 7pm to 11pm. For Friday, Saturday and eve of Public Holidays, there will be a surcharge of S$8++ per diner too. Simple decor, with air ducts to ensure diners do not “smell like grilled meats” when they leave the restaurant, though I am not sure if that’s working well. Just make sure you are not heading anywhere important after the meal here. The Food The highlight here is definitely the A5 Wagyu cuts from the award-winning Hidakami Ranch located at Miyagi Prefecture. If you are on a budget constraint, you can opt for the more affordable Yakiniku Ala-carte Buffet here, serving as much as S$20 from the premium buffet option.
