The Place The second branch of this popular Thai kway chap stall is located along Upper Serangoon Road, just minutes walk from Kovan MRT Station. Yaowarat Thai Kway Chap focuses on dishing out local Thai street food in a casual restaurant setting that will remind you very much of Bangkok. Bare white walls, with cement flooring and clean silver metal tables and chairs. Was told the owner imported the furniture from Thailand to provide diners with a complete experience. Yaowarat’s other branch is at Holland Village, located at 17A Lorong Liput. The Food Not the usual kway chap you are familiar with in Singapore, the kway chap in Thailand is typically served with a clear and slightly peppery broth, instead of the soy sauce-based broth. The kway itself is also slightly different, you will notice the kway are all rolled, instead of the flat layers we are used to seeing in Singapore, although it does not have much of a difference in terms of texture or taste.
