The Place It was a random walk after my breakfast at Tampines Round Market and I chanced upon Granny’s Pancakes at Kim San Leng Kopitiam. This popular stall in Tampines Street 11 makes their pancakes freshly every day by batches, and it doesn’t take very long for the one batch of pancake to be sold from my observation. The Food Three flavours of pancakes are offered here, all at S$0.80 each – Red Bean, Coconut and Peanut. The only exception is Peanut Butter which goes at S$0.90. After standing in the queue for close to twenty minutes, I decided to get the peanut butter flavour. The pancake here belongs to the soft category instead of the thin and crispy version. I made a special request to the auntie to sell me the edges of the huge slab of pancake, as the edges are as crispy as it can get. It is heartening that the auntie who prepares my pancakes was very generous with the fillings, as she topped it with more peanut along the way.
