Food Review: Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice at Nex, Singapore | Thailand’s Michelin Bib Gourmand First Overseas Outlet

The Place How does Thai style Chicken Rice sound? I made my way down to Nex at Serangoon to check out Go-Ang Kaomunkai Pratunam from Thailand, which is on the Michelin Bib Gourmand of the Bangkok guide. The brand has been established for over 50 years and this is their first overseas outlet brought in to Singapore by The Minor Group, which also manages Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe and ThaiExpress. The franchise outlet in Singapore is named Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice. Located at basement one of the mall near Din Tai Feng, the space at Go-Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice is relatively open concept and casual. As the mall is usually very packed, expect some waiting time during dining hours. The Food Expect chicken rice, braised pork, vegetables, tofu and other side dishes on the menu. The kitchen staff were trained in Bangkok by the brand’s founder to ensure consistency, with chicken imported from Malaysia. I had the Single Portion Chicken Thigh (S$5.50), served with their homemade chilli sauce.
