The Place We all love our steaks. Finally, we found time to visit Wooloomooloo Steakhouse located at Swissotel the Stamford, despite the fact that it has been around for a few years. The restaurant is fairly huge, with a bar area for pre-meal drinks at its entrance, as well as a huge facility where the meats are aged. If you fancy, you can request for the window facing table where you get a view of the city, albeit it’s only at level three. The Food We didn’t have a pure steak affair, as we checked out the five-course Sunday Brunch menu instead. Priced at S$48++, our first few thoughts were skeptical. We were expecting the serving to be small and didn’t come with high expectations. We were surprised. The Sunday Brunch menu is fixed and rotates bi-weekly, so this is not the time slot for you if you prefer a la carte order. We started well with the Poached Egg with avocado and toast, a nice runny rendition. Avocado on toast happens to be one of my current favourite. The next dish is something cold, not in a bad way.
