The Place I wanted to check out local breakfast spots in KL when I was there over the weekend last September, and Yut Kee is one of those casual restaurants which I managed to check out. Yut Kee is a popular Hainanese coffee shop brand which has been around since 1928, currently run by the third generation. The space of Yut Kee is a modern looking coffee shop which has a deep layout from its entrance. It only moved to its current Jalan Kamunting location few years ago, The Food Yut Kee is famous for its classic Hainanese dishes such as Hainanese Pork Chop and Kaya Toast. I managed to try the Kaya Toast which comes with a rich spread of homemade kaya and butter. I like the crispy and rectangular-shaped bread where the kaya is delicious. I am in love with the kaya spread in KL so far, after trying the version from Ho Kow as well. The coffee is not to be missed as well, where the black Kopi had a robust flavour.
